The tropics

One really beautiful place is the Dutch island of Curaçao in the South Caribbean Sea. They also have the Museum Kurá Hulanda down in the capital. It has incredible collections from most time periods, including the ancient world, modern contributions, slavery and historical conflicts; more info here.
